The Worcester State duo of Emma Lanpher and Emily Bartlett have been named the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year and head up the all-conference squad which is voted on by the coaches from around the conference.
Framingham State's Gwendolyn Carpenter claimed the final Division III Wilson/NFCA Player of the Week honors of the 2024 season on Tuesday.
After leading the Rams to their third straight MASCAC Softball Tournament title, the Framingham State trio of Gwendolyn Carpenter, Ally Moran and Haley Jensen earn the MASCAC Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week.
Defending league champion Framingham State battled back through the elimination bracket to sweep a pair of games from top-seeded Westfield State by scores of 3-0 and 10-2 in the championship round of the 2024 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference softball championship at the Westfield State softball field on Sunday afternoon.
After the semifinal round was completed on Saturday afternoon, the MASCAC Softball title game matchup was set and will see Framingham State and Westfield State square off on Sunday afternoon.
Framingham State and Westfield State advanced to the winner's bracket of the MASCAC Softball Tournament after defeating their quarterfinal opponents on Friday afternoon.
