Sydney Schaefer of Bridgewater State, Gracie Martineau of Salem State and Rylie Camacho of Westfield State claim the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades.
Player of the Week |
Schaefer batted .600 (6-10) with five doubles, four walks, a run and six RBI in a 2-2 week for the Bears. Also posted a .667 slugging percentage and a 1.100 slugging percentage, and accepted 14 chances (6 PO, 8 A) in the field at third base with no miscues. Went 4-for-5 with three doubles, two walks, a run and two RBI in a non-conference doubleheader split with Bates; and 2-for-5 with a pair of doubles, two walks, a sacrifice fly and four RBI in a MASCAC twinbill split with Framingham State. |
Pitcher of the Week |
Martineau went 2-0 for the Vikings with a 0.50 ERA and .79 whip in two complete games. Allowed a run on six hits with a walk and two strikeouts in a 2-1 win over Mitchell and scattered three hits with a walk and strikeout in a 7-0 shutout over Fitchburg State. Weekly Report 3/31 |
Rookie of the Week |
Camacho batted .625 (5-8) with a double, a triple, five RBI, two runs scored, two home runs, a .667 on-base percentage and 1.000 slugging percentage in a 3-0 week for the Owls. Finished 3-3 with a triple and an RBI in a 8-0 win over Anna Maria, and knocked in three runs in a 13-5 win over Mass Maritime. Weekly Report 3/31 |
