Four Student-Athletes Named NFCA DIII All-Region
Gwen Carpenter and Kelsey McGuill of Framingham State, Ab'c'de Patane of Mass. Maritime and Emily Bartlett of Worcester State were named to the National Fast Pitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region team.

Carpenter, a two-time First Team All-MASCAC Selection, earned second team All-Region honors for the first time in her career after an outstanding senior season. Carpenter was named tournament MVP of the 2023 MASCAC Tournament. Carpenter hit .526 during the tournament with seven runs, six doubles, a home run and seven RBI. Carpenter went 4-for-8 in the championship round with a grand slam and was recognized as the final Division III Louisville Slugger/MFCA Player of the Week. Carpenter batted .412 this season with 66 hits, including 16 doubles, four triples, seven home runs and 30 RBI.
McGuill, a 2024 First Team All-MASCAC Selection, earns third team All-Region honor for the first time in her career after her stella performance during her senior season. McGuill hit a pair of home runs in the Rams sweep of the top seed Westfield State in the championship round to second the Tournament Title for the Rams. McGuill batted .383 with 51 hits including 17 doubles, a triple and 10 home runs with 42 RBI.
Patane batted .482 with a .538 on-base percentage. She compiled 27 hits including six doubles, three triples, and four home runs while driving in 21 runs and scoring 19. Ab'c'de is the Maritime softball program leader in home runs with 11 in her career. In 2023 as a freshman, Patane was named the conference's Player and Rookie of the Year. She has been featured multiple times on the NFCA Top Performers of the Week list(s), including once this season.
Bartlett earned her second MASCAC Pitcher of the Year honor after receiving it in 2022. The senior from Lowell, Mass. was a strikeout machine for the Lancers, collecting a league-leading 174 (8.46 per game) while also finishing first in the conference with 16 wins, five shutouts, in ERA at 2.28, WHIP at 1.10 and batting average against at .189. She only allowed one triple and six home runs on the season. Bartlett earned Pitcher of the Week five times this season, including three in a row which culminated in the April 8 week where she Bartlett was 3-0 in three appearances, allowing seven hits, six runs (three earned) with a 1.31 ERA, 32 strikeouts and two walks in a 3-0 week for the Lancers.
