MASCAC Softball Weekly Awards 4/22
Hannah Wodecki of Westfield State along with Emily Bartlett and Peyton Maloney of Worcester State take home the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades after earning conference wins last week.

Player of the Week |
Wodecki batted .480 (12-25) with two doubles, a triple, two home runs, 17 RBI, eight runs scored and a .880 slugging percentage in a 4-2 week for the Owls. Went 6-for-8 with 11 RBI, two home runs, four runs scored, including a grand slam in the doubleheader sweep of MCLA. Registered three hits, including two doubles with two RBI and three runs scored in the doubleheader split with Framingham State. Broke the Owls season RBI record with 46 and currently has an 11 game hitting streak. |
Pitcher of the Week |
Bartlett went 2-0 over 12.1 innings of work, giving up four earned runs, nine hits and 19 strikeouts for the Lancers. Went the distance, giving up one hit and no runs with 10 strikeouts in the 10-0 win over Bridgewater State. Finished with nine strikeouts and four runs allowed in the 5-4 win over Fitchburg State. |
Rookie of the Week |
Maloney pitched 17 innings with a 2-0 record for the Lancers with a 2.47 ERA, 11 strikeouts and four walks. Threw a complete game without allowing a run with five hits and five strikeouts in the 1-0 win over Fitchburg State. Allowed no earned runs with five strikeouts and two hits over 4.1 innings of work in the 14-5 win over Bridgewater State. |
