MASCAC Softball Weekly Awards 4/8
Brooke Grassia and Eliza Carignan of Framingham State along with Emily Bartlett of Worcester State take home the MASCAC Softball Player, Rookie and Pitcher of the Week accolades after collecting league victories over the past week.

Player of the Week |
Grassia went 10-for-21 (.476) with three doubles, three triples, 11 RBI, nine runs scored and three stolen bases in a 5-1 MASCAC week for the Rams. She went 5-for-8 with two double a triple and five RBI in a sweep of MCLA. Added two hits a triple, two RBI and four runs scored in a sweep of Mass. Maritime. Went 2-for-4 with double, run scored and RBI in 6-4 win over Bridgewater State and added a three run triple in a 4-3 setback to the Bears. |
Pitcher of the Week |
Bartlett was 3-0 in three appearances, allowing seven hits, six runs (three earned) with a 1.31 ERA, 32 strikeouts and two walks in a 3-0 week for the Lancers. Pitched in both ends of a doubleheader over MCLA. Went two innings, not allowing a hit or walk with six strikeouts in the 9-8 win then went the distance, allowing four hits, a walk and 16 strikeouts in the 7-6 win. Closed out her appearances on the week with a three hit, one walk and 10 strikeout performance in the 1-0 win over Gordon. |
Rookie of the Week |
Carignan went 8-for-18 (.444) with three doubles, a home run, four RBI and seven runs scored in a 5-1 week for the Rams. Went 6-for-7 with three doubles, a home run and four RBI in a sweep of MCLA. Had a hit and run scored in a 6-4 win over Bridgewater State and added a hit and run scored in the 9-1 win over Mass. Maritime. |
