MASCAC Women's Soccer Weekly Awards 10/9
Sydney Dewhurst of Bridgewater State, Lily Pfefferle of Salem State and Shannon Brecher of Mass. Maritime take home the MASCAC Women's Soccer Offensive, Defensive and Rookie of the Week honors following conference action last week.

Dewhurst potted the game-winner goal (her MASCAC-leading fourth game-winner) in the Bears’ 1-0 win over Salem State to help the Bears remain undefeated in league action. Helped anchor a BSU defensive unit that allowed just five shots on goal in a pair of 1-0 shutout victories over the Vikings and Lesley University. |
Defensive Player of the Week |
Pfefferle made 18 saves with a .947 save percentage for the Vikings in her only start this week, allowing a goal in the Vikings’ 1-0 setback to Bridgewater State. Currently second nationally in saves per game (13.40). |
Rookie of the Week |
Belcher scored her first-career goal in the Buccaneers’ 1-1 draw with Fitchburg State on Friday night. Her 32nd minute goal gave the Buccaneers a 1-0 lead in the first half that the Bucs held until the 71st minute. She recorded eight shots with four on target in the 1-0-1 week for the Buccaneers. |
