NSCAA DIII All-New England Team
Massachusetts Maritime goalie Katie Levesque and Worcester State forward Alicia Macomber have earned National Soccer Coaches Association of American All-New England honors as announced by the organization.
A native of Wilmot, N.H. and a graduate of Kearsarge Regional High School, Levesque is the only player in program history to earn NSCAA accolades, as she was named to the all-New England Region second team in 2013. She earned first team all-Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference honors for a second straight season this fall after making 151 saves and posting a .799 saves percentage while collecting three wins and three shutouts for Head Coach Ray Cabral's crew, as she holds every goalkeeping record in school history and will enter his final collegiate campaign just five saves shy of the 500 career mark.
A three-time all-MASCAC pick overall, Levesque served as one of Massachusetts Maritime's tri-captains this season. She has recorded 10 career shutouts and sports a 2.89 goals against average while topping the 150-save plateau in each of her three years on the pitch, including a school record 175 stops during her sophomore campaign in 2013.
Macomber, who was voted on by the leagues head coaches as the MASCAC Player of the Year, ended the season establishing new program standards in goals (18) and points (42) as she also ended the year with six assists.
Her final ranks in the league standings were tied for second, third and tied for sixth, respectively, in each category.
Macomber was instrumental in leading the charge for the Lancers to a 14-4-4 overall record and a 7-0 mark in MASCAC play which culminated in WSU's fourth league regular season title and sixth conference tournament crown.
