MASCAC Softball Weekly Awards 3/11
The Bridgewater State trio of Victoria Becker, Olivia Hargreaves and Sydney Schaefer collect the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors after competing in South Carolina over spring break.

Becker batted .440 (11-25) with two home runs, two doubles, a triple, three walks, two stolen bases, five runs and seven RBI in nine games as the Bears went 6-3 at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Little River and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Also posted a .500 on base percentage and a .840 slugging percentage. Went 2-for-3 in a 5-4 win over Saint Elizabeth; 2-for-3 with a home run in a 4-2 setback to Misericordia; 2-for-4 with a home run, a double and two runs scored in an 8-6 win over Penn State-Abington; 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a sacrifice bunt in a 10-7 setback to Immaculata; and 1-for-1 with an RBI triple and a pair of walks in a 9-1 win over Penn State-Beaver. Also knocked in a pair of runs in a 4-3 win over Martin Luther, and stole two bases, scored two runs and drove in one in a 12-8 win over Penn College. |

Hargreaves went 2-0 with one complete game in four appearances (two starts) in the circle at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Little River and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Allowed just one run on three hits over six full innings with a walk and six strikeouts in a 9-1 (6 Inn.) win over Penn State-Beaver. Tossed 4 1/3 innings of scoreless relief giving up just two hits with two walks and six strikeouts to earn the win in a 12-8 victory over Penn College. Gave up three runs, only one earned, on four hits over four innings with a walk and a strikeout in a 5-4 win over Saint Elizabeth. |

Schaefer batted .433 (13-40) with four doubles, a triple, a walk, two stolen bases, four runs and nine RBI in nine games for the Bears at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Little River and North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.Went 2-for-3 with a double, a stolen base, a run and three RBI in a 9-1 win over Penn State-Beaver; 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI in a 10-7 setback to Immaculata; 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, a run and an RBI in an 8-6 win over Penn State-Abington; 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI in a 9-1 win over Cedar Crest; 1-for-3 with a walk and a run in a 12-8 win over Penn College; 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI in a 5-4 win over Saint Elizabeth; and 1-for-3 with a double in a 3-0 loss to Penn State-Harrisburg. |
