Bridgewater State's Amelia Blake along with the Framingham State duo of Ally Moran and Angelina Lynch take home the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors after the opening record of league play.

Blake batted .667 (6-9) with a double, two triples, a stolen base, five runs and five RBI in four games for the Bears last week. Went 5-for-7 with a double, two triples, five runs and four RBI in a MASCAC sweep of MCLA; and 1-or-2 with a stolen base and an RBI in pair of setbacks to Salve Regina University. |
Pitcher of the Week |
Moran went 3-0 over 11 innings with a 0.64 ERA, giving up four hits, one earned run with 12 strikeouts. Had back-to-back outings only allowing one hit while striking out five in each in the doubleheader sweep of Mass. Maritime. |
Rookie of the Week |
Lynch hit .833 (10-for-12) with two home runs, two doubles, two triples, five runs scored and eight RBI in a 4-0 week for the Rams. Went 5-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in the doubleheader sweep of Lesley. Went 5-for-7 with two doubles, two triples, three runs scored and four RBI in the doubleheader sweep of Mass. Maritime. |
