The Worcester State duo of Bella Gasbarro and Emma Lapoint earn the first MASCAC Softball Player and Rookie of the Week accolades while Stephanie Scoville of Westfield State is the Pitcher of the Week after the teams began their spring break stints.

| Gasbarro batted .571 (8-14) with a double, home run, two RBI and three runs scored with a .600 on-base percentage in a 3-1 week for the Lancers. Was 2-for-3 with a RBI, run scored and walk in the 7-0 win over Maine-Farmington. Added a home run, RBI and run scored in the 10-2 win over Wilson. Went 3-for-4 in the 12-9 win over Susquehanna. |

| Scoville tossed a complete game three-hitter, allowing one run and striking out five in the Owls’ season-opening win over Alfred State (NY) in the Gene Cusic Classic in Naples, Fla. |

Rookie of the Week |

Lapoint batted .700 (7-10) with a double, triple, home run, seven RBI, four runs scored, a .700 on-base percentage and 1.300 slugging percentage in a three games for the Lancers. Went 2-for-3 with a double, home run, four RBI and run scored in the 7-0 win over Maine-Farmington. Was a perfect 4-for-4 with a triple, three RBI and three runs scored in the 12-9 win over Susquehanna. |
