The Framingham State trio of Gwendolyn Carpenter, Ally Moran and Shelby Roode claim the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week accolades after leading the Rams to the MASCAC Softball Tournament crown on Sunday.

Carpenter batted .632 (12-19) with a double, triple, eight RBI, six runs scored, two stolen bases, four walks and a .789 slugging percentage to lead the Rams to the MASCAC Tournament title and Tournament MVP honors. Went 4-for-6 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in the championship round wins over Bridgewater State. Was 3-for-3 in the first round win over Fitchburg State and 2-for-3 with a triple, four RBI, a walk and run scored in the semifinal win over Worcester State.

Pitcher of the Week |
Moran made five appearances during the Rams run to the MASCAC Tournament title and went 4-1 with 2.08 ERA with 17 strikeouts over 30.1 innings of work. Earned the 5-3 victory against the Falcons in the opening round. Tossed a complete game against Bridgewater State, allowing three earned runs on seven hits with five strikeouts to force game two during the MASCAC championship series on Sunday. |
Rookie of the Week |
Roode batted .375 (9-24) with a triple, run scored, six RBI, two walks and a stolen bases as the Rams claimed the MASCAC Tournament title. Went 2-for-4 with an RBI in the 5-3 opening round win over Fitchburg State. Added a pair of hits and two RBI in the 7-6 elimination game win over Salem State and she added two hits and three RBI in the game one championship series win over Bridgewater State. |
