MASCAC Softball Weekly Report 4/18
Camille Desrochers of Framingham State, Kelley Reichert of Bridgewater State and Julia Gauvin of Fitchburg State earn the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors after winning their conference contests during the Easter weekend.

Desrochers batted .667 (10-15) with three doubles, a home run, four runs scored, seven RBI, three walks, two stolen bases with a 1.067 slugging percentage and .737 on-base percentage in a 2-2 week for the Rams. Went 4-for-5 with two runs scored, a double and the game-tying homer to send the game to extra innings in the 7-6 10-inning setback to #24 Babson College. Went 6-for-8 with two runs scored, two doubles and five RBI in the doubleheader sweep of MCLA.

Pitcher of the Week |
Reichert went 1-1 in two appearances in the circle for the Bears last week and posted a 0.00 ERA with 10 strikeouts without a walk in 12 innings of work. Tossed five scoreless innings to pick up the win in relief in the Bears’ 9-3 MASCAC win over Salem State. Scattered five hits, did not issue a walk and fanned four in the victory over the Vikings. Hurled seven impressive innings in relief in a 3-2 extra inning setback to WPI retiring the first 19 batters she faced before giving up a pair of unearned runs in the eighth inning. Gave up just two hits did not issue a walk and struck out six Engineers.

Gauvin hit .500 (6-of-12) with two doubles, one home run, eight runs scored, four walks, two RBI and two stolen bases in a 4-0 week for the Falcons. Went 5-for-7 with two doubles, a home run, six runs scored, one RBI, three walks and a stolen base in a double header sweep against Dean on Tuesday before going a 1-for-2 with two runs scored, one RBI, one walk and a stolen base in a 10-0 game one triumph over Mass. Maritime on Thursday. |
