MASCAC Softball Weekly Report 4/11
Mackenzie DeSantis of Salem State, Ally Moran of Framingham State and Katherine Canty of Westfield State earn the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week after getting MASCAC wins over the weekend.

DeSantis batted .524 (11-for-21) with two doubles, two home runs, five runs and 15 RBI with a 1.143 slugging percentage in a 4-2 week for the Vikings. Went 5-for-8 with a double, home run and seven RBI in a doubleheader sweep of UMaine Farmington. Went 4-for-7 with a double, home run, two runs scored and eight RBI in a doubleheader split with Fitchburg State.

Moran went 1-1 in two appearances which included tossing a complete-game no hitter in the 4-0 win over Bridgewater State. Faced 24 batters retiring 21 of them surrendering just two walks with eight strikeouts. On the week, allowed eight hits, three earned runs with 10 strikeouts and a walk.

Rookie of the Week |
|
Canty tossed a complete game, two-hit shutout at Mass. Maritime in the win on Saturday. Pitched six innings while striking out 11 and yielding just one walk to earn the win. Added one hit in two at bats to help her own cause at the plate, and scored a run as well.
