Bridgewater State's Kelley Reichert and Laura Hatch along with Westfield State's Katherine Carty take home the first MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week honors of the 2022 season.

Reichert batted .800 (4-5) with a double, a stolen base, two runs scored and two RBI in a 1-1 week for the Bears last week. Also went 1-0 in the circle with a 3.11 ERA and five strikeouts in nine innings of work. Went 3-for-4 with a double, a stolen base, two runs and an RBI while picking up a complete game victory in a 7-3 win over Penn State Altoona. Came off the bench to record and RBI single and pitch two innings of relief in a 10-2 setback to Muskingum University

Hatch recorded a complete game win in the Bears' season-opening 5-2 victory over Finlandia University at The Spring Games Clermont, Florida. Gave up just two unearned runs on four hits with a walk and eight strikeouts.

Rookie of the Week |
|
Canty spun 2.1 innings of scoreless relief in the Owls 5-3 loss to UMass Dartmouth, working around three hits allowed to keep the Corsairs off the scoreboard.
