Alexandra Ruprecht of Bridgewater State, Emily Bartlett of Worcester State and Julia Gauvin of Fitchburg State grab the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week awards after winning non-conference contests last week.

Player of the Week |
Ruprecht batted .625 (10-16) with a home run, three doubles, three walks, seven runs scored and three RBI in six games for the Bears last week. Also posted a .684 on base percentage and a 1.000 slugging percentage. Went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, a run and an RBI in a doubleheader split with UMass Boston; 5-for-6 with a home run, a pair of doubles, a walk, four runs and two RBI in a pair of setbacks to Johnson & Wales University; and 2-for-5 with a walk and two runs scored in a loss and tie against UMass Dartmouth. |
Pitcher of the Week |
Bartlett appeared in both games this week for the Lancers, throwing eight innings and allowing just one earned run for a sparkling 0.88 ERA. She struck out 10 batters, including eight in a complete game win over Lasell. At the plate, Bartlett went 3-5 (.600) with a double, a triple, a run scored and a run batted in. In the opening game victory against the Lasers, she was 2-2 with two extra base hits. For the week she slugged 1.200.

Rookie of the Week |
Gauvin hit .450 (9-of-20) with a triple, home run, six runs scored, four RBI and a stolen base in six games for the Green and Gold. Went a combined 4-for-7 with a triple, stolen base and two RBI in a double header split with Rivier on Wednesday before adding a pair of hits, two runs scored and an RBI in a split with Plymouth State on Saturday. Concluded the week, finishing a combined 3-for-6, including her first collegiate homerun, one run scored and one RBI. |
