Bridgewater State’s Ruprecht, Worcester State’s Bartlett Named Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player, Pitcher of the Year, Headline 2022 MASCAC Softball All-Conference Team
Bridgewater State’s Alexandra Ruprecht and Worcester State’s Emily Barlett have been named the 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year and head up the all-conference squad which is voted on by the coaches from around the conference.

Westfield, Mass. — Bridgewater State's Alexandra Ruprecht and Worcester State's Emily Bartlett have been named the 2022 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the Year and head up the all-conference squad which is voted on by the coaches from around the conference.
Ruprecht, a graduate student outfielder from Kingston, Mass., ended the regular season in the top 10 of the MASCAC in several categories, including batting average (.402), on-base percentage (.496), slugging percentage (.617), runs scored (31), hits (43), doubles (9), home runs (4), RBI (32) and walks (21). Her efforts helped the Bears to the regular season title and the top spot in the MASCAC Tournament. She was named MASCAC Player of the Week in March after batting .571 (4-7) with two home runs, two walks, a stolen base, five run scored and eight runs batted in during a 2-1 week for the Bears. Also posted a ,600 on base percentage and an impressive 1.429 slugging percentage. Went 3-for-6 with a pair of home runs, a walk, three runs and six RBI in a doubleheader split with Rhode Island College, and 1-for-1 with a walk, sacrifice fly, stolen base, two runs and two RBI in a 10-0 victory over Dean College.
Earning the 2022 MASCAC Pitcher of the Year honors, Bartlett, a sophomore from Lowell, Mass. led the league in total strikeouts with 148, averaging 8.29 per game. She also was atop the conference with three shutouts. She finished the regular season with 10 wins, eight complete games and a 2.41 ERA over 25 appearances. She helped the Lancers secure the second seed in the conference tournament last week. In the 3-0 win over Fitchburg State, she fanned a season-high 16 batters with no earned runs, one hit and two walks in the win. She won back-to-back MASCAC Pitcher of the Week honors for the week ending March 28 and April 4.
Emma Lanpher of Worcester State is the 2022 MASCAC Softball Rookie of the Year. The freshman short stop from Charlton, Mass. batted at a .303 clip with a .420 slugging percentage with 10 doubles, two triples, 18 RBI, 23 runs scored, six walks and six stolen bases for the second seeded Lancers. She earned MASCAC Rookie of the Week after batting .421 (8-19) with two doubles, two RBI, four runs scored and a stolen base in a 4-1 week for the Lancers. Went 4-for-5 with a double in the doubleheader sweep of Mass. Maritime. Added two hits, including a double plus a RBI and run scored in the doubleheader sweep of Framingham State.
Keri Bianchini of Worcester State is the 2022 Champion's Choice Coach of the Year after leading the Lancers to an 11-3 conference record and the second seed in the MASCAC Tournament. This is Bianchini's first Coach of the Year honor.
Joining Ruprecht and Bartlett on the first team are Bridgewater State's Madison Dana and Kelley Reichert, Fitchburg State's Julia Gauvin, Molly Grass and Audrey Johnson, Framingham State's Brooke Grassia and Ally Moran, Westfield State's Christina Ciampa, Colleen Hughes and Lindsay Cordopatri and Worcester State's Rachel Sinclair.
Grabbing a spot on the MASCAC second team all-conference are Bridgewater State's Emma Healy, Megan Sharon and Madison Synan, Fitchburg State's Sarah Cahill and Dana Cisowski, Framingham State's Camille Desrochers, Mercedes Jimenez and Shelby Roode, MCLA's Madison Teta, Westfield State's Megan Metzger and Stephanie Scoville and Worcester State's Lauren Dube and Abigail Koziol.
