MASCAC Softball Weekly Report 5/3
Bridgewater State's Alexandra Ruprecht and Morgan Cournoyer earned this week's MASCAC Player and Rookie of the Week honors, while Worcester State's Emily Bartlett was the Pitcher of the Week brought to you by GEICO.
Player of the Week |
Ruprecht batted .500 (6-12) with three home runs, a double, four walks, eight runs scored, and eight RBI in a perfect 4-0 week for the Bears. Also posted a .625 on base percentage and an impressive 1.333 slugging percentage. Went 5-for-6 with two home runs, a double. two walks, six runs and five RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Westfield State. Homered, walked twice, scored two runs and drove in three in another sweep of the Owls. |
Pitcher of the Week |
Bartlett allowed no earned runs and just two hits in a complete game win over Fitchburg State. Struck out eight Falcons while only walking one batter in the victory. Helped her own cause in the win, slugging her first collegiate home run.

Rookie of the Week |
Cournoyer batted .727 (8-for-11) with a home run, a double, three walks, five runs scored and two RBI in a perfect 4-0 week for the Bears. Also posted an impressive .800 on base percentage and a 1.091 slugging percentage. Went 4-for-5 with three walks and four runs scored in a doubleheader sweep of Westfield State, and 4-for-6 with a homer, a double, a run and two RBI in another sweep of the Owls.
