The Framingham State trio of Lauren Salisbury, Kelsi Gunarathne and Laela Pepin are the MASCAC Softball Player, Pitcher and Rookie of the Week after winning the MASCAC Tournament on Saturday. Awards brought to you by GEICO.

Lauren Salisbury Salisbury batted .563 (9-16) with three doubles, six runs scored and eight RBI plus a .750 slugging percentage and .588 on-base percentage to earn Tournament MVP honors after helping the Rams to the MASCAC Softball Tournament title. Went 5-for-7 with a double, two runs scored and four RBI in the championship game doubleheader sweep of Bridgewater State. Went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI in the 8-0 quarterfinal win over Worcester State. Was 1-for-3 with a run scored and RBI in the 4-2 semifinal win over Fitchburg State. |

Kelsi Gunarathne Gunarathne made five appearances during the tournament and went 4-1 to help the Rams to their third straight MASCAC Tournament title. Tossed a complete game six-inning shutout in the 8-0 win over Worcester State, allowing just five hits with three strikeouts. Went 3-0 on the final day of the tournament, only giving up three runs and striking out five, including a complete game 4-2 win over Fitchburg State. |

Laela Pepin Pepin batted .438 (7-16) with two doubles, six RBI and two stolen bases plus a .563 slugging percentage to help the Rams to their third straight MASCAC Tournament title. Went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in the 8-0 quarterfinal win over Worcester State. Went 3-for-6 with a run scored and three RBI in the championship game doubleheader sweep of Bridgewater State. |
