Softball Weekly Award Winners 4/13
Jennifer Galavotti and Amber White of Bridgewater State are the softball player, pitcher and rookie of the week honorees.

Jennifer Galavotti Bridgewater State Freshman • DP • Marion, Mass. Galavotti batted .429 (9-21) with three home runs, six runs scored and 11 RBI while posting an .857 slugging percentage in a 5-1 week for the Bears. Went 4-6 with a pair of home runs, a stolen base, three runs scored and five RBI in the sweep of Salem State. Belted a three-run homer in an 8-1 non-conference win over Babson College. Went 4-8 with two runs and three RBI in a non-conference split with Clark University.

White went 3-0 with a save, three complete games and three shutouts in a 5-1 week for the Bears. Did not allow a run in 20 2/3 innings of work (0.00 ERA), struck out 23 batters, walked just one and gave up just seven hits on the week. Posted a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts in an 8-0 game one win over the Vikings while picking up the save in the Bears’ 14-4 victory in game two. Also hurled a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a 7-0 win over Clark University, and a two-hit shutout with 8 strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Babson College.
