Amber White of Bridgewater State and Rachel Quackenbush of MCLA are the first MASCAC softball player and pitcher of the week honorees.

White batted .375 (3-8) with a pair of doubles, a run and an RBI in a 2-2 week for the Bears. She went 2-4 with two doubles, a run and an RBI in a 3-2 win over Kenyon College. Also went 1-for-3 with a walk in a 1-0 win over Elms College. In two starts in the circle, White went 2-0 with two complete games and a 0.00 earned run average. She gave up just eight hits, walked one and fanned six in 16 innings of work and tossed a three-hit shutout in the 1-0 win over Elms.

Quackenbush went 2-1 with three complete games, a 1.96 earned run average and 52 strikeouts over five appearances in a 2-4 week for the Trailblazers. Earned a pair of shutout victories over Rockford College, 5-0, and Elms College, 2-0, collecting 15 and 16 strikeouts, respectively.
