Naomi Cass of Bridgewater State and Kate Buban of Framingham State earn the MASCAC Women's Cross Country Runner and Rookie of the Week after racing at the MASCAC Championship on Friday.

Cass captured the individual title to lead the Bears at the MASCAC Championships held at the Fort Devens Course. Outdistanced the field of 65 runners as she completed the five-kilometer course in a time of 19:10.88. Bears’ first MASCAC women’s cross country individual champion since Krysta Zbikowksi in 2013. |

Buban was the Rams top finisher as she completed the 5K course in a time of 19:32 to earn MASCAC Rookie of the Year honors in eighth place at the MASCAC Women’s Cross Country Championship. |
