Naomi Cass of Bridgewater State and Kate Buban of Framingham State take home the MASCAC Women's Cross Country Runner and Rookie of the Week after finishing in the top two of their respective races on Saturday.

Naomi Cass, Bridgewater State
Sophomore, Westport, Mass.

Cass placed second out of a field of 184 runners at the Keene State Invitational. Covered the five-kilometer course in a time of 18:43.9. Helped the Bears finish seventh in the team standings at the meet.

Kate Buban, Framingham State
Freshman, Wrentham, Mass.

Buban placed first with a 5k time of 22:18 at the inaugural Rams Invitational, besting the second place finisher by over a minute.
