MASCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 12/10
Juliana Patrone of Bridgewater State along with the Westfield State duo of Tealei Chandonnet and Paola Quinones Ramos earn the first MASCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field weekly accolades of the year.

Chandonnet set the pace in a pack of Owls athletes in the 3000, finishing first with a time of 10:43.48, crossing the tape 23 seconds faster than her closest competitor while also finishing fourth in the mile run (5:24.40) as the Owls finished third at the Springfield College Season Opener on Saturday. Currently 28th nationally in both events. |
Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Patrone placed tenth in the high jump (second among DIII student-athletes) with a leap of 1.50m at the season-opening Early Bird Invitational held at The Track at New Balance. The meet featured competition from all three NCAA divisions as well as track clubs. Currently tied for eighth in the East Region in the high jump. |
Women's Indoor Rookie of the Week |
Ramos delivered a strong showing in her first collegiate event with a fourth-place time of 10.17 seconds and was the second runner in the Owls third-place finishing 4x400 meter A team in the relay. Also ran the 600 with Westfield placing third overall at the Springfield College Season Opener on Saturday. |
