MASCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 1/14
After competing at the Suffolk Relays, Kiara Abrantes, Serenity Sands and Grace Inacio of Bridgewater State earn the MASCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field weekly honors.
Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week |
Abrantes placed second in the 400-meter dash with a time of 57.60 seconds and fourth in the 200-meter dash with a personal-best time of 25.38 seconds this past weekend at Suffolk Relays held at The Track at New Balance. Currently ranks 11th in all of Division III in the 200 and first in the East Region. Also fifth in Division III in the 400 and first in the East Region. |
Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Sands made her season debut and placed third in the high jump with a leap of 1.63m this past weekend at the Suffolk Relays held at The Track at New Balance. Currently ranks ninth in all of Division III in the high jump and first in the East Region. |
Women's Indoor Rookie of the Week |
Inacio finished 14th in the 60-meter dash with a personal-best time of 8.13 seconds this past weekend at the Suffolk Relays held at The Track at New Balance. Also recorded the 17th best time at the meet in the 200 as she posted a personal-best time of 26.57 seconds. Currently ranks 12th in the East Region in the 60 and 13th in the 200. Weekly Report 1/14 |
