MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 4/9
After competition this past week, Bridgewater State's Kiara Abrantes and Serenity Sands along with Framingham State's Jamie Moniz claim the MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field weekly accolades.

Abrantes won the meet in the 400-meter dash at the Amherst Spring Fling with a time of 57.32 seconds. Also checked in at third in the 200-meter dash (25.49) and ran a leg on the Bears’ second place 4x100-meter relay (48.56). Recorded outdoor personal bests in both the 400 and 200. Currently ranked 18th in all of Division III in the 400 and second in the East Region. Also fifth in the East Region in the 200. |

Sands outleaped the field in the high jump this past weekend at the Amherst Spring Fling as she recorded a mark of 1.68m. Currently ranks fifth in all of Division III in the high jump and first in the East Region. Also finished 14th in the long jump (4.67m) at the meet. |
Women's Outdoor Rookie of the Week |
Moniz placed fifth in the triple jump (10.26m), seventh in the high jump (1.42m) and 11th in the 200m run (28.22) at the Springfield Invitational. Continued the hot start to her career at Regis on Monday for the Rams finishing second in the high jump (1.50m), fourth in the javelin (30.57m) and fourth in the triple jump (9.66m).
