Westfield State Wins Fourth Straight MASCAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship
For the fourth straight year, the Westfield State women's outdoor track and field team wins the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference title which was hosted by Fitchburg State on Saturday.

The Owls finished with six individual conference titles and all three relays. On the track, Amy O'Sullivan was first in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 40:05.06 while Lexi Popp was first in the 400 meter dash in 57.74. The Owlls took home the top spot in all three relays: 4x100 meter relay (48.34), 4x400 meter relay (4:11.32) and 4x800 meter relay (10:34.39).
On the field side, Lauren Gilderdale was a dual winner in the discus throw (37.44m/122' 10") and hammer throw (49.73m/163' 2"). Brianna Deloury had the top conferen clearing in the high jump at 1.50 meters (4' 11") while Mackenzie Connor had the top clearing in pole vault (2.65m/8' 8.25").
For runner up Bridgewater State, they finished with six individual crowns. Jayci Andrews claimed two MASCAC titles in the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.64) and the 100 meter hurdles (15.56). Emily Guyon crossed the line first in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 12:41.89. Jessica Haywood was tops in the 800 meter run in a time of 2:28.63. Molly McNamara had the further long jump at 5.18m (17') while Kira Gilbreath had the best shot put toss at 13.57 meters (44' 6.25").
Rounding out the individual winners is Worcester State with six. Bernice Mensah was a dual winner in the 100 meter dash (12.91) and triple jump (11.27m/36' 11.75") while teammate Mia Rogers added two titles of her own in the 1,500 meter run (5:01.15) and 5,000 meter run (18:36.38), Abigal MacGregor had the fastest time in the 200 meter dash (26.63) and Riley Sanderson heaved the javelin the furthest with a top toss of 34.64 meters (113' 8").
Westfield State finished second in the New England Alliance which included competition from the Little East Conference. Bridgewater State came in fourth.
