Bridgewater State Earns Third Straight MASCAC Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship
For the third straight season, Bridgewater State claims the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship. The meet was ran at the George Clark Track on the campus of Plymouth State in Plymouth, N.H.

PLYMOUTH, N.H.-- For the third straight season, Bridgewater State claims the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track and Field Championship. The meet was ran at the George Clark Track on the campus of Plymouth State in Plymouth, N.H.
This meet was run along with the New England Alliance Championship which features student-athletes from the Little East Conference.
Bridgewater State led the way with 10 top individual finishes and a relay victory. Jayci Andrews was a triple MASCAC Champion in the long jump (5.17m/16’ 11.50”), 200 meter run (27.12) and 400 meter dash (1:00.09). Ariele Krevosky took home two conference crowns in the 60 meter dash (8.21) and triple jump 10.45m (34’ 3.50”) while Rachel Ducharme set a new MASCAC record in the 5,000 meters (18:58.89). Samantha Richner also earned a top finish in the high jump (1.62m/5’ 3.75”). Sabrina Rizzo, Theresa Connolly, Danielle Poto round out the Bridgewater top finishers in the 600 meter run (1:45.70) 1,000 meter run (3:17.35) and 3,000 meter run (10:25.39), respectively.
The quartet of Abbie Pustis, Amanda Lane, Traci Perry and Andrews were the fastest team in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:09.58.
Runner-up Westfield State finished the day with five individual titles and the final two relays. Naloti Palma took home two top honors in the weight throw 15.14m (49’ 8.25”) and shot put (13.33m/43’ 9”). Ashley Craig earned a MASCAC title and new conference record in the pole vault 3.40m (11’ 1.75”) while Jessie Cardin claimed the top spot in the mile (5:27.19). Ashley Monahan closed out the Westfield State first place honorees with a title in the 800 meter run (2:22.27).
The Owls also were victorious in two relays. The group of Valdemira Fernandes, Ashley Craig, Jennifer Gaudet, Alexa Popp crossed the line first in the 4x200 relay (1:48.59) and Ashley Monahan, Lauren Izabel, Autumn Brown, Jessie Cardin finished first in the 4x800 meter relay (9:58.90).
Rounding out the first place individual winners was Annie Wooley of Fitchburg State with a 60 meter hurdles time of 9.34.
Southern Maine was the overall Alliance winner with 172 points while Bridgewater State landed in second with 107.50 points.
