Bridgewater State and Worcester State Claim 2015 Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championship
The Bridgewater State Bears and Worcester State Lancers are the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Champions after tying in overall team points at the meet on Saturday, April 25.

The Bridgewater State Bears and Worcester State Lancers are the 2015 Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Champions after tying in overall team points at the meet on Saturday, April 25.
The Bears and Lancers both claimed the MASCAC crown with 186 points. Westfield State followed up in third with 161 points while Fitchburg State and Massachusetts Maritime were fourth and fifth with 99 and six points, respectively.
Bridgewater State took home five MASCAC titles on Saturday. Emily Ducharme was the top finisher in the 10,000 meters (40:59.90), Krysta Zbikowski in the 3,000 meter steeplechase (11:54.52) and the 4x800 meter relay team earned a new MASCAC record with a 9:57.68 time. On the field side, Samantha Richner earned MASCAC All-Conference with a first place finish in the high jump (5' 2.5"/1.59 meters) while Ariele Krevosky took the top spot in the triple jump (35' 03.00"/10.74 meters).
For Worcester State, the team collected seven individual crowns. Alyssa Jasper was a champion in three events: 200 meter dash (26.78), 100 meter hurdles (15.51) and javelin (125' 1.0"/38.12 meters). Alexandria McMahon was a dual winner in the 400 meter dash (58.60) and 400 meter hurdles (65.66) while Amanda Caldarone was MASCAC champ in the long jump (17' 6.25"/5.34 meters). The Lancers were the top finishers in the 4x400 meter relay as well (4:04.82).
Westfield State claimed seven individual crowns, including double honors for Jessie Cardin and Naloti Palma. Cardin finished first in the 1,500 meters (4:49.56) and 5,000 meters (18:22.27) while Palma earned a new MASCAC and Alliance record in the discus (131' 4.0"/ 40.04 meters) and first in the shot put ( 43' 1.50"/ 13.14 meters). Ashley Craig grabbed a new MASCAC record in the pole vault (11' 2.5"/ 3.42 meters) while teammate Julianna Miller was MASCAC champ in the hammer throw (150' 7.0"/45.89 meters). The Owls also were the top team to cross the line in the 4x100 meter relay (50.56).
Fitchburg State rounded out the top individual winners with two honors. Arthina Robert was the top conference finisher in the 100 meter dash (12.88) and Jenae Harrison claimed the MASCAC crown in the 800 meter run (2:20.37).
Southern Maine took home the New England Alliance title with 145 points while Bridgewater State and Westfield State tied for second place with 108.50 points.
