MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards 3/3
Camryn Gonsalves of Bridgewater State, Olivia LaValle of Worcester State and Jordan Turcotte of Salem State are the MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive, Defensive and Rookie of the Week honorees.
Offensive Player of the Week |
Gonsalves notched 11 goals and two assists for 13 points in a 2-0 week for the Bears while adding seven ground balls and seven caused turnovers. Poured in a career-high eight goals and dished out two assists for a career-best ten points in the Bears’ 17-11 win over UMass Dartmouth. Also contributed four ground balls and four caused turnovers in the victory over the Corsairs. Netted a had trick to go along with three ground balls and three caused turnovers in a 16-9 triumph over the University of New England. |
Defensive Player of the Week
Olivia LaValle, Worcester State
Senior, Goalie, Peabody, Mass.
LaValle made 26 saves with a 74.3 save percentage and nine GAA in a 2-0 week for the Lancers.
Allowed only one goal with four stops in the 19-1 win over Simmons. Added 22 saves in the 10-8
victory over Southern Maine. Currently fifth in DIII in save percentage.
Rookie of the Week |
Turcotte scored eight goals in a 2-0 week for the Vikings. She scored six goals in a 19-0 season-opening win over Albertus Magnus and added two more goals in a 15-6 victory over Elms. |
