MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Weekly Awards 2/24
The Bridgewater State duo of Camryn Gonsalves and Sara Skaff plus Mckayla Fisher of Worcester State take home the first MASCAC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player, Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week honors of the season.
Offensive Player of the Week |
Gonsalves tallied eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in a perfect 2-0 week for the Bears to go along with four ground balls. Notched three goals, five assists and a pair of ground balls in a 13-9 season-opening win over Salve Regina; and five goals, four assists and two ground balls in an 18-8 victory over Wheaton. |
Defensive Player of the Week
Mckayla Fisher, Worcester State
Junior, Midfield, Peabody, Mass.
Fisher finished with eight draw controls, three caused turnovers and three ground
balls in the Lancers’ 18-5 win over Wellesley. Added two goals and an assist in the
win.

Rookie of the Week |
Skaff backstopped the Bears to a perfect 2-0 week as she notched 21 saves and posted a .553 save percentage as well as an 8.50 goals against average in 120 minutes of work. Made 15 saves in her collegiate debut, a 13-9 season-opening victory on the road over Salve Regina. Turned aside six shots in an 18-8 road win over Wheaton. |
