Framingham, Mass. – The Framingham State University women's lacrosse has formed a Relay for Life Fundraising Team – LaCROSSe Out Cancer - and will be participating in the Relay for Life of Framingham State on Sunday, May 1, 2016.
The members of the women's lacrosse team have decided to join the efforts of the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life as cancer has touched many of their lives in various ways. The Relay for Life is a way to celebrate survivors and remember those who have lost their battle with the disease.
Each year more than four million people in over 20 countries raise funds and awareness to save lives from cancer through the Relay for Life. Relay for Life teams camp out overnight and take turns walking or running around a track and because cancer never sleeps each team is asked to have at least one participant on the track at all times.
