MASCAC Women's Ice Hockey Weekly Awards 11/18
After the start of conference play, Katie Porrello of Plymouth State, Kelsey Czerniawski and Emily Johns of Worcester State earn the MASCAC Women's Ice Hockey Player, Goalie and Rookie of the Week honors.
Player of the Week
Katie Porrello, Plymouth State
Junior, Forward, Milford, Conn.
Porrello matched a program record, scoring all four goals as the Panthers outlasted Worcester State, 4-3, in overtime in their lone game of the week. Porrello finished with three power play goals and went 13-5 (.722) in the faceoff circle as PSU topped the Lancers in the MASCAC opener on Tuesday. Her final tally of the night came just 39 seconds into overtime to secure the win. |

Czerniawski went 2-0 with 30 saves, a 1.50 GAA and .938 save percentage for the Lancers. Made seven saves with no goals allowed in 20 minutes of action in the 9-0 win over Framingham State. Stopped 23 shots in the 5-2 win over Anna Maria. |
Rookie of the Week |
Johns collected three goals in a 2-1 week for the Lancers, including two in a 5-2 conference win over Anna Maria and added another in the 9-0 win over Framingham State. |
