After the start of the conference slate, Kylie Gates of Salem State and Lexi Thompson of Bridgewater State grab the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week accolades.

Gates averaged 20.5 points, shooting 53.1% (17-32 FG) from the field and 57.1% (4-7) from beyond the arc, along with eight assists, 6.5 rebounds, and three steals in a 1-1 week for the Vikings. The senior guard had an efficient 23-point performance, shooting 9 of 11 from the field and a perfect 4 of 4 from three-point range, to go along with eight assists and three rebounds in the 90-79 win over MASCAC rival Bridgewater State. Additionally, Gates fourth three in the final minute of the game marked her 1,000th career point. She then followed up with a near triple-double performance on Saturday, posting 18 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists in the setback to Husson. |
Rookie of the Week |
Thompson averaged 10 points, five rebounds, 5.5 assists and two steals in a 1-1 week for the Bears while shooting 80% (8-10) at the free throw line. Notched ten points, three rebounds, seven assists and four steals in a 90-79 MASCAC setback to Salem State; and ten points, seven rebounds and four assists in a 77-57 conference win over Framingham State. |
