Kelsey Yelle of Framingham State and Alana Smith of Worcester State grab the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week honors after guiding their teams to wins in league play over the past week.

Yelle averaged 17 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and shot 56.5 percent (13-23) from the floor in a 2-0 week for the Rams. Finished with a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds while going 7-of-11 from the floor in the 59-58 win over Bridgewater State, to give the Bears their first league setback and put them in a tie for the first place. Added 16 points with seven boards and five assists in the 75-56 win over Salem State. |
Rookie of the Week |
Smith averaged 10 points, 8.5 rebounds, a steal, assist and a block in a 1-1 week for the Lancers. Scored nine points and added nine rebounds in the 79-50 win over Fitchburg State. Finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocks in the 99-76 setback to Westfield State. |
