MASCAC Women's Basketball Weekly Awards 12/11
Framingham State's Flannery O'Connor and Bridgewater State's Emily Quinn earn the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week accolades after helping their team to non-conference wins last week.

O'Connor averaged 20.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals while shooting 51.4 percent (19-37) from the floor and 92 percent (23-25) from the free throw line in a 3-0 week for the Rams closing the first half of the season at a perfect 10-0. She scored 24 with 14 rebounds, two steals, two assists and a block ina 83-72 win over Rivier. She scored 16 points with six boards, four assists and a block in a 64-61 win over Babson to break a 17 game Beavers winning streak. |
Rookie of the Week |
Quinn averaged six points and 2.7 rebounds while shooting 66.7% (8-12) from the floor in three games for the Bears last week. Scored a career-high 11 points and added three rebounds and a steal in an 86-65 win over Wheaton College. Also tallied five points and a steal in an 89-82 setback to MIT, and two points and five rebounds in an 80-79 setback to Brandeis University. |
