Framingham State's Gwendolyn Carpenter and Bridgewater State's Kylie Grassi take home the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week awards after competing in the MASCAC Tournament last week.

Carpenter averaged 21 points, 8.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds while shooting 10-for-19 (52.6 percent) from the field to earn Tournament MVP honors after leading the Rams to the MASCAC title. Scored 20 points with nine assists and six rebounds in the 84-69 championship game victory over Bridgewater State. Netted 22 points, eight assists and five rebounds in the 81-63 semifinal win over Worcester State. |
Rookie of the Week |
Grassi averaged 12 points, two rebounds, 1.5 assists and a steal in two games during the MASCAC Tournament. Also shot 36.4% (4-11) from three-point range. Tallied 13 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in an 84-71 semifinal round win over Westfield State, and 11 points, one rebound, one assist and one blocked shot in an 84-69 championship game setback to Framingham State. |
