Olivia Dziadyk of Bridgewater State and Morgan Genness of Fitchburg State take home the MASCAC Women's Basketball Player and Rookie of the Week accolades after earning wins during their non-conference slate last week.

Dziadyk averaged 11 points, 11 rebounds (3.5 offensive), 7.5 assists and two steals while shooting 67% (4-6) from behind the arc and 100% (4-4) at the free throw line in a 2-0 opening week for the Bears. Recorded her first career triple double with 10 points and career-highs of 16 rebounds and 11 assists to go along with three steals in an 88-72 victory over Suffolk University. Added 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and a steal in a 76-68 season-opening win over Emerson College. |
Rookie of the Week |
Genness averaged 8.7 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field (50.0%) as well as three rebounds, two assists and 1.3 steals per contest. Posted eight points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals in a setback to Manhattanville College before adding five points, one carom, two steals and one block in a 62-47 loss to Western Connecticut State on Friday. Concluded the week, registering 13 points, four boards and four assists in a 69-52 triumph against Anna Maria College. |
