After racing at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Kevin McBirney of Bridgewater State and Vincent Gauthier of Framingham State take home the MASCAC Men's Cross Country Runner and Rookie of the Week awards.

Runner of the Week
Kevin McBirney, Bridgewater State
Senior, E. Bridgewater, Mass.

McBirney placed 51st in a field of 343 runners this past weekend at the 51st Annual UMass Dartmouth Invitational held on the UMD camps. Completed the rain-soaked and muddy eight-kilometer course in a time of 25:59.44. He ranked 11th among Division III runners and helped the Bears’ to a 21st place showing in the team standings.

Vincent Gauthier, Framingham State
Freshamn, Shelburne Falls, Mass.

Gauthier was the Rams top finisher  at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, covering the 8K course in a time of 27:44.6 in his first collegiate 8k race.
