McBirney placed 43rd out of field of 229 runners to lead the Bridgewater State University men’s cross country team at the 2023 NCAA Division III East Region Cross Country Championships held on Saturday at Hopkinton State Fair Grounds, covering the eight-kilometer course in a time of 26:08.28. |

Sylven led the Owls with a 69th place with a time of 26:28 on the 8,000-meter course, as the Westfield State’s men’s cross country team finished 18th at the NCAA Division III Mideast Regional hosted by the Owls at Stanley Park on Saturday. |
