Manyok of Fitchburg State Earns MASCAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Year, Headlines 2022 All-Conference Team

Westfield, Mass. — Sophomore Taban Manyok of Fitchburg State earned 2022 MASCAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Year honors after finishing as top overall finisher at the conference championship on Saturday. His performance also headlines this year's All-Conference team.
Manyok, a sophomore from Lynn, Mass., earned 2022 MASCAC Runner of the Year honors for the second straight year after crossing the line first with an 8k time of 26:14. This is the first time in Fitchburg State history that a student-athlete went back-to-back as the top overall male finisher. His efforts also gave him a second straight All-Conference accolade.
Taking home the 2022 MASCAC Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Year is Braden Boucher of Bridgewater State. The freshman from Lowell, Mass. had a season-best time in the 8k at 27:51 to finish sixth in the race and nab All-Conference honors.
After leading Westfield State to a second place finish at the meet, Marlee Berg-Haryasz was named the 2022 BSN Sports Men's Cross Country Coach of the Year.
Joining Manyok and Boucher on the 2022 All-Conference Team is Connor Mackie and Samuel Steere of Bridgewater State, Michael Burns of Fitchburg State, Patrick Walsh of Framingham State, Brandon Hager and John Nekitopoulos of Westfield State and Ethan Goodreau and James Riley of Worcester State.
