2007 MASCAC Cross Country Coaches Of The Year Announced
The MASCAC recently announced its 2007 Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coaches of the Year as voted upon by each of the conference’s head coaches.
2007 MASCAC CROSS COUNTRY COACHES OF THE YEAR NAMED
WESTFIELD, MA, Nov. 7,
2007 - The Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference
(MASCAC) recently announced its 2007 Men's and Women's Cross
Country Coaches of the Year as voted upon by each of the
conference's head coaches.
For the men, Massachusetts Maritime's Chris Ryan and Worcester State's Al Halper were named Co-Coaches of the Year.
Ryan helped guide the Buccaneers to a third place finish in the MASCAC Championship and also had a pair of runners named All-MASCAC, including MASCAC Rookie of the Year David Johnson.
Halper, meanwhile, led the Lancers to a runner-up finish and had three runners earn All-MASCAC honors, including individual champion Forest Wilber, who was also named MASCAC Runner of the Year.
For the women, Salem State's Dennis Floyd earned Coach of the Year honors as he led the Vikings to a third place finish at the MASCAC Championship and had a pair of runners named MASCAC, including Rookie of the Year winner Marybeth Inman.
