MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 4/1
The Bridgewater State trio of Kevin McBirney, Corey Stalters and Alex Huynh take home the first MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards of the season.
Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week |
McBirney placed eighth in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.51 this past weekend at the Emory Thrills in the Hills in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently ranked 26th in all of Division III in the 800 and second in the East Region. |
Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Stalters won the meet title and broke his own school record in the javelin last Friday at the Emory Thrills in the Hills in Atlanta, Georgia with an impressive toss of 68.40m. Eclipsed his previous mark of 66.74m set back in 2022 at the NEICAAA Championships. Currently the top ranked javelin thrower in all of Division III. |
Men's Outdoor Rookie of the Week
Alex Huynh, Bridgewater State
Freshman, Stoughton, Mass.
Huynh placed second in the high jump with a leap of 2.00m and seventh in the long jump with a distance
of 6.82m this past weekend at the Emory Thrills in the Hills in Atlanta, Georgia. Currently ranked 12th in all
of Division III in the high jump (first in the East Region) and 30th in the long jump (3rd in the East Region).
