MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 2/11
Kevin McBirney and Alex Huynh of Bridgewater State plus Liam Bourassa of Fitchburg State claim the MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field weekly awards.

McBirney broke the school record in the 800-meter run this past weekend at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational hosted by Boston University. Posted a time of 1:52.54 to finish 28th out of a field of 71 runners comprised of mostly Division I student-athletes. Eclipsed the Bears’ previous school indoor standard of 1:53.00 set by Joshua Higgins in 2018. Currently ranks 14th in all of Division III in the 800 and third in the East Region. |

Bourassa finished third overall in weight throw with an All-New England qualifying toss of 16.34 meters,while adding a second place, DIII NE qualifying throw of 14.05 meters in the shot put for the Falcons at the 2025 Harvard Crimson Open on Saturday. Men's Indoor Rookie of the Week
Alex Huynh, Bridgewater State
Freshman, Stoughton, Mass.
Huynh placed fourth in the long jump with a leap of 22 feet, 1.5 inches (6.74m) this past weekend
at the Harvard Crimson Open. Also finished 55th in the 60-meter dash with a personal-best time of
7.55 seconds.
