MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Award 1/22
Kevin McBirney and Corey Stalters of Bridgewater State along with Brendan Guenard of Fitchburg State take home the MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field weekly awards after competing at the Branwen King-Smith Invite last weekend.

McBirney captured top honors in the 1,000-meter run with a school-record and PR time of 2:29.42 this past weekend at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational hosted by Tufts University. Also ran a leg on the Bears’ second-place 4x800-meter relay squad which posted a time of 8:25.16. Qualified for both the NEICAAA Championships and DIII New England Championships in the 1,000. Helped the Bears place third in the team standings at the meet. |

Stalters captured top honors in the shot put with a season-best toss of 15.02m this past weekend at the Branwen Smith-King Invitational hosted by Tufts University. Currently ranks 39th in all of Division III in the shot put and second in the East Region. Helped the Bears place third in the team standings at the meet. |
Men's Indoor Rookie of the Week Brendan Guenard, Fitchburg State Freshman, Andover, Mass. |
Guenard set two personal records, finishing first overall in the 800 meters with a time of 2:07.13, while adding a fifth place effort in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:54.23. Concluded the day, aiding the 4x400 meter relay team to a seventh place time of 4:15.56 for the Falcons at the 2025 Branwen Smith King Invitational, hosted by Tufts. Weekly Report 1/22 |
