MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 5/7
After competing at the DIII New England Championship, Bridgewater State's Kevin McBirney, Fitchburg State's Liam Bourassa and Westfield State's Nathan Sylven take home the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field weekly honors.

McBirney placed fourth in the 1,500-meter run with a PR of 3:54.85 to earned All-New England honors this past weekend at the Division III New England Championships held at Mount Holyoke College. Currently ranks 11th in the East Region in the 1,500. |
Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Bourassa placed first overall in the javelin with a personal best and All-New England qualifying throw of 66.41 meters as well as finishing 12th in the hammer throw with a toss of 49.33 meters. Finished 12th in the discus (42.64m) and 15th in the shot put (13.04m) at the 2024 DIII New England Championships, hosted by Mount Holyoke College over the weekend. Currently first in DIII in the javelin. |

Sylven earned All-New England accolades with a personal best time of 9:36.66 in the 3,000m steeplechase at the New England DIII Outdoor Track and Field Championship. |
