MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 4/9
The Bridgewater State duo of Chigozie Adigwe and Matthew Mooney plus John Ware of Westfield State take home the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field weekly awards after competing at their respective meets this weekend.

Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week |
Adigwe placed second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.82 seconds this past weekend at the Amherst Spring Fling. Currently ranked 27th in all of Division III in the 110 hurdles and fourth in the East Region. Also finished 28th in the 100-meter dash (11.51) and 37th in the 200-meter dash (23.53) at the meet. |
Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Ware won the javelin throw with a personal best toss of 53.72m (176’ 3”) at the Coast Guard Invitational on Saturday to move into the top 50 in the national performance list. Currently third in the Mideast Region in the event. |
Men's Outdoor Rookie of the Week |
Mooney placed eighth in the 100-meter dash (11.07) and tenth in the 200-meter dash (22.35) this past weekend at the Amherst Spring Fling. Recorded personal best times in both events. Also finished 16th in the long jump (18’8.5”/5.70m) at the meet. Currently ranks 12th in the East Region in the 200 and 20th in the 100. |
