MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 4/2
As we switch from the indoor to outdoor season, the Bridgewater State duo of Stephen Spofford and Jordan Rivera-Silva along with Liam Bourassa of Fitchburg State take home the MASCAC Men's Outdoor Track and Field weekly honors.

Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week |
Spofford finished 14th in the 200-meter dash (22.37) and 17th in the 400-meter dash (49.54) this past weekend at the Kennesaw State Invitational. Recorded collegiate best times in both events. Currently ranks 50th in all of Division III in the 400 and fourth in the East Region. Also seventh in the East Region in the 200. |
Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Bourassa placed first overall in the javelin with an All-New England qualifying toss of 64.85 meters, while adding a first place, All-NE qualifying mark of 45.58 meters in the discus. Took top honors in the hammer throw with a DIII New England qualifying toss of 49.23 meters as well as finishing first overall in the shotput with a throw of 13.17 meters at the Corsair Invitational on Saturday. Currently second in Division III in the javelin and 27th in discus. |

Rivera-Silva finished 21st in the 400-meter dash (50.10) and 23rd in the 200-meter dash (22.66) this past weekend at the Kennesaw State Invitational. Currently ranks ninth in the East Region in the 400 and 22nd in the 200. |
