Jordan Rivera-Silva and Thomas Barinelli of Bridgewater State take home the MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field weekly accolades after leading the Bears to the MASCAC title at the championship last Saturday.

Rivera-Silva helped the Bears capture their fifth straight MASCAC indoor crown this past weekend at the MASCAC Championships held at Smith College. Won a pair of MASCAC individual titles as well as one relay. Captured top honors and recorded personal-best time in both the 200-meter dash (22.66) and the 400-meter dash (50.35), and rank a leg on the Bears’ conference champion 4x200-meter relay squad (1:32.22). Currently ranks ninth in the East Region in the 200 and 12th in the 400. |
Men's Indoor Field of the Week
Thomas Barinelli, Bridgewater State
Senior, Tewksbury, Mass.
Barinelli helped the Bears capture their fifth straight MASCAC indoor crown this past weekend at the MASCAC Championships held at Smith College. Won three individual MASCAC titles and finished with a meet-best 30 team points. Captured top honors and hit indoor personal bests in both the high jump (1.95m) and long jump (7.60m). He also recorded a finals time of 8.68 seconds to win the 60-meter hurdles. Currently ranks 32nd in all of Division III in the long jump and 50th in the high jump. Also first in the East Region in the long jump and seventh in the high jump.
