MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Weekly Awards 12/12
The Bridgewater State duo of Stephen Spofford and Corey Stalters plus Fitchburg State's Tyler Kwamo earn the MASCAC Men's Indoor Track and Field weekly honors after winning their events at their respective meets on Saturday.

Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week |
Spofford garnered top honors in the 400-meter dash with a career-best time of 49.83 seconds at the UMass Boston Beacons Open held at The Track at New Balance. Also ran a leg on the Bears’ winning 4x400-meter relay team which posted a time of 3:31.35, and placed second in the 200-meter dash with a PR time of 22.50 seconds. Presently ranks 33rd in all of Division III in the 400 and first in the East Region. Also third in the East Region in the 200. |
Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week |
Stalters won the meet title in the shot put with a career-best toss of 15.29m at the UMass Boston Beacons Open held at The Track at New Balance. Currently ranked 18th in all of Division III in the shot put and second in the East Region. |
Men's Indoor Rookie of the Week |
Kwamo took top honors in the high jump with a DIII NE qualifying mark of 1.95 meters before placing fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.62 meters for the Falcons at the 2023 Joe Donahue Games. Currently 15th nationally in the high jump. |
