United Soccer Coaches All-Region
After an outstanding season, Bridgewater State's Tyler Chang and Salem State's Vanilton Xavier earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region accolades as announced by the organization.
The duo landed on the third team and were also named to the MASCAC All-Conference team last month.
A native of Acushnet, Massachusetts, Chang started all 18 games for the Bears in 2024 and dished out a pair of assists. He was an integral part of a defensive unit that limited teams to less than five (4.3) shots on goal per game and helped post five shutouts. In 37 games over his first two seasons with the Bears, Chang has recorded four assists. As a team, the Bears have recorded 12 shutouts with Chang in the lineup.
Xavier, a first team all-region selection a year ago, recently was named the MASCAC Offensive Player of the Year after collecting seven goals and four assists for 18 points for the Vikings which included two game-winners over his 15 games played.
